Overview
We are always building on the work of others, and we learn through imitation. With this project, I was asked to recreate a movie poster using techniques of plagiarism, parody, or pastiche. I decided to work with the movie, Loving Vincent. I knew that hand painting an image would provide a better effect than photo manipulation. So, over the course of a week I created a self-portrait recreated in the style of the iconic Vincent Van Gough.
